falling

I wake up at ten, my parents are discussing something about the trip I;m taking with my cousins next month, they’re buying the tickets. We’re going out later today, I was going to meet you at the subway at 3 Paul McCartney and we’d go to the park, but my dad forgot to buy my mom’s christmas gift and so that’s what we’re doing now. You get there 10 minutes before me and I greet you with a kiss and tell you about our change of plans.

We go to the store and we end up buying just a pair of flip flops. The cashier keeps me waiting for an hour so we just stay in the corner talking about how bad we wanna leave and you just hold me. Since our plans to go to the park didn’t work out, we decide to go watch a movie, I choose one, you choose another and we end up seeing the next one to start just because. You kiss me in line and I keep thinking about those old couples starring at us. Do they think we’re cute or disgusting? I think we’re disgusting.

The movie starts and I remember I did’t bring my glasses and I don’t speak french so you watch it and I watch you. I try to understand what’s going on with some woman pretending to be someone else and hurting her head copiously but you take a deep breath and lift your head and God your neck is so hot. I straighten myself up and you lay your head of me and start scratching my shoulder. Then I lay on you and it begins. You hold my hand and our fingers are intertwined, both of us playing with each other’s fingers and looking at how different our hands are. We stay like this until the end of the movie and that’s it.

At that moment, when I heard your breathing, I started to fall and I don’t think I have stopped yet. Your skin is so nice and you are so amazing and I don’t know what else to do. You let me get into all the doors I love to enter and you just follow me. This is it, it took me four months but I’m in love with you.

We get out of there and I couldn’t understand anything because I didn’t have my glasses and the movie was french. We decide to get a drink and you reluctantly let me pay for it. We go to the stairs of the museum and suddenly this guy starts talking to us, he kind of hits on me so you just hold my hand and we start playing again. You drink more than me but at the end we’re both still sober.

Later your friend arrives and he is also with his date and neither of you introduce us so we start talking. The only difference is they’re on their first date and people insist on calling us a couple. We don’t want a relationship even though we have one and I make sure we’re still on the same page when you tell me about this friend of yours that’s being cheated on, you tell me you know I have no way of cheating on you, because we are not exclusive.

So this is me falling in love just like you did two months ago, I hope it’s not too late.
