In An Ideal World.

If you ask any of our friends what they think about us, their answer will always be “ you’d make a great couple” or “sometimes I think you two actually like each other” and, trust me, I wish they were right. But I guess that could only be true in an ideal world, right?

In an ideal world, we would hate each other at first - like we do, but then we would get closer and closer, until we realised we actually really like each other. In an ideal world, you’d see the good things in me and I would see the good things in you, you’d really care about my answer when you ask me what I want from you, but guess what? I don’t know what you want from me either, in an ideal world, you wouldn’t tell e I hate you and that you hate me, you would just the arrogant jerk you are and kiss me.

Kiss me. wouldn’t that be great? If you kissed me, everything would be better, I don’t love every inch of you, just like you just love to tease me all the time, but if this was an ideal world, we would only be one of those funny couples. The couples who are just always messing and teasing each other, but when it’s just the two of the, the fun is still there, but so are the cheesy demonstrations of affection. 

I won’t say love, I’m never going to call what I feel or could feel for you love, that would never be true, you are way too funny for me to love you, I could never love such a polite, seductive guy, no, not me. As you have already said, I am an expert at falling in love with douchebags, right? You always keep saying, about every single guy I’ve liked, how you wanted how punch them in the face just for being jerks, but still you say I’m the stupid one because I don’t like my friend who likes me.

Why do you care anyway? Why are you so worried about the kind of guy I like or the simple fact I don’t to flirt with my cute friend because he’s my friend? In an ideal world, that would be because you like me and you are jealous of those other guys and you get mad when I say I wouldn’t like a friend because you are a friend, but this is the real world, and the only reason you do those things is to remind me about just how much you love to tease and annoy me.
